The event (DP Asia 2016), supported by the MTS DP Committee and IMCA was a success with close to 100 attendees. Despite the difficult market conditions, there were international representatives from all areas of the DP community including the supporting organisations, main equipment vendors and regional ship owners.  Denis Welch, the IMCA Asia Pacific Director chaired the first session which had a focus on DP Vessel Industry Dynamics. Keynote addresses were delivered by Venkatraman Sheshashayee, the CEO of Miclyn Express Offshore and Suman Muddusetti; a member of the MTS DP Technical Committee and Chairman of the MTS DP Sub-Committee on Guidance and Standards. This was followed by a panel session which included representatives from shipyards, major equipment suppliers, ship owners and oil companies.
