The lively panel discussion, which was both informative as well as interesting, focused on closed bus ties and recent requirements for fault ride through / live short circuit testing, in order to increase awareness in Asia. Joey presented and moderated the session which included experts from the MTS Technical Committee, Shell, DNVGL, SIEMENS, ABB & GREATSHIP.

Last week, Joey and the M3 team were at the 5th DP Asia 2015 conference. Joey, a member of the technical committee, chaired the afternoon session on both days.
The highlights of the conference were definitely the workshop on cross connections, held on the first day, and the panel discussion – Fault Ride Through Testing, held on the second day.
The purpose of the cross connections workshop was to create awareness of the increasing number of cross connections that have been found on newbuild vessels. The MTS DP TECHOP ODP11(D) document was used as the main reference for the workshop.
